Desecration December, day 30: High on Fire
The penultimate shirt! High on Fire is the post-Sleep (see day 4) project of Matt Pike and a real monstrous beast of top-tier doom with some good ol' thrashers thrown in for good measure. IMO they really excel at these towering, epic, almost jam-like grinds. For my money, Matt Pike is one of the finest and most creative songwriters in the form. Got the shirt at a show where Sons of Otis opened (see day 14).
