Desecration December, day 31: Mares of Thrace
Not the greatest shirt highlight but I wouldn't be able to brag about being in Hawaii without a little background, would I? I saw Mares of Thrace open for Conan (see day 3) last time I saw them. They play a kind of sludge/post-metal that's more nuanced and sophisticated than your average bear. Still not my fave kind of metal, but enjoyable and compelling live. The singer/guitarist is a great visual artist and their shirts and posters are fantastic.
