Desecration December, day 22: Kruelty
I saw Kruelty one of 3 times I saw Undeath (day 1) in a one-year period. More vibes than songs, better live than on record. A blend of beatdown hardcore and death metal, I'd characterize this kind of songwriting as being more about sequencing hooky riffs and breakdowns for a pit than about distinct songs. It's not a bad thing, just a limited palette for a specific experience - and very good at cultivating that experience!
